Saga of Jaraah
Overview: No one knows for sure how they came into being, but 500 years ago, a race of enormous mutant insects known as the Claacos entered the world of Jaraah. These over-sized ants with their mechanical persistence slowly took over the world toppling kingdom after kingdom. If the world had organized quickly, perhaps history would have taken a different course. Alas, the severity was not immediately understood. By the time the races of the world united in mutual defense, it was far too late. Now, the civilized races live on the ecological fringes of Jaraah; islands far out to sea, mountain tops and the far north known as the Shomaal where the cold slows the relentless insects enough to make them easy to kill, and deserts where the lack of water quickly kills the Claacos.
Mechanics: This is an AD&D 2nd Edition Play-by-Post campaign. We do not meet in person, we do not play synchronously in real-time. The DM posts material on the Forum. The players post their reactions. The DM resolves outcomes and post the results. Because of the nature of PbP, this is a ‘rules-lite’ campaign. Detailed rules knowledge is not necessary to play.
